Ruthie Mae Nunnery, 75, of Topeka, Kan., formerly of Kennett, died at a Topeka hospital Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007.
Born Sept. 20, 1931 in Kennett, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Anna Pearl Beck Collier, she attended the Church of Christ in Kennett, worked for Emerson Electric and was a cook at Dunklin County Jail.
Survivors include her children Michael Nunnery and wife, Lori, of Rossville, Kan., Deborah Shumaker, Phyllis Nunnery and Steve Watkins, all of Topeka and Virgil Nunnery and Renee Befort, both of Baldwin City, Kan.; two sisters, Ruby Gregersen, of Maryland Heights, Mo., and Laura Jane Spain, of Hastings, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Laura Blanchard, Michelle Brooks, Kenneth Allen, and Miguel, Jason, Lee and Eric Nunnery; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Cape Girardeau City Cemetery.
Davidson Funeral Home of Topeka is in charge of arrangements.
