Morris Edward Johnson, 79, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Kennett.
Born Jan. 8, 1928, in Savannah, Tenn., son of the late Joe and Maggie Lee Brewer Johnson, he was a farmer and he attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell.
On Sept. 9, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., he married Minnie Marie Brewer, who preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2001. He was also preceded in death by one brother, William John Henry Johnson and two sisters, Bernice Stone and Fannie Belle.
Survivors include four sons, Paul Johnson and wife, Paula, Jeff Johnson and J.W. Brewer, all of Campbell and Gill Johnson, of Marble Hill, Mo.; five daughters, Pat Treat, of Clarkton, Mo., Faye Johnson, of Corbin Hill, Ala., Linda Steen and husband, Charles, of Campbell, Sarah Bryant and husband, Jerry, of Flint, Mich., and Annie Wilburn and husband, Mike, of Kennett; one brother, Joe Earl Johnson, of Clarkton; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. John Cruger officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition at Campbell.
