Edna Slaughter, 96, of Kennett, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Jan. 22, 1911, in Caruth, Mo., daughter of the late Emzy and Lillie Pitts Oldham, she was a member of the Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett.
On June 8, 1929, she married Willard Slaughter, who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1961. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buck and Gail Oldham.
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Ellis, of Flint, Mich.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Jason Bowen officiating.
