Marion Mishler, 90, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at his residence.

Born May 16, 1916, in Des Moines, Iowa, son of the late John Franklin and Irene McCarty Mishler, he was a U.S. Army veteran, and a POW, having served in WWII and a maintenance supervisor for the state of Iowa. He was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden, a current member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church in Malden, a member of the RSVP in Malden and a member of the Masonic Four Mile Lodge No.212 in Campbell, Mo.

On Sept. 19, 1936, in Jefferson, Iowa, he married Mary Jane Fister, who preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1989. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Edith Irene Maske; two brothers, Frank and Paul Mishler; a grandson, Jeffery W. Maynard; a granddaughter, Laurie Ellen Maske and a sister-in-law, Clara Fister.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jane Maynard and husband, Dale, of Malden; one son, Robert M. Mishler, of Loma, Colo.; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Mishler, of Carol Stream, Ill., and Virginia Fister, of California; a brother-in-law, George Fisher and wife, Martha Mae, of Arizona; grandchildren, Marion D. Maynard and Cynthia A. Maynard Pattarozzi, both of Cleveland, Tenn., Robert E. Maynard, of New Haven, Mo., Mary K, Maynard Sherlin and husband, David, of Bryant, Ala., John Wm. Mishler Olson, of Clinton, Iowa, and Michelle R. Maske and Mary Lou Ann Maske, both of Fulton, Ky.; 15 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Dean Mishler and wife, Betty, of Woodstock, Ill.; two nieces, Maxine Mishler Wright, of Washington and Margaret Mishler Kraemer and husband, Len, of Fayetteville, Ark., four special nieces, Rudy Stafford, Paula Spinler, Wanda Harlow, of Des Moines and Rhonda Berry, of Jacksonville, Fla., and other relatives and a host of friends and masons.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Des Moines.
