Mary Nell Adams Clark, 63, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born July 29, 1943, at McCarty, daughter of the late James Alver and Lonnie Bernice Chambers Adams, she was a 1961 graduate of Caruthersville High School. She was a cosmetologist, co-owner and operator of Clarks Drive Inn and operator of the Caruthersville Country Club.
On Oct. 23, 1961, in Caruthersville, she married Gene Clark, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Gina Renee Clark Francis and husband, Dean, of Olive Branch, Miss.; one step-daughter, Diane Clark Day, of Caruthersville; one step-son, Carl Duane Clark, of Grosbeck, Texas; brothers and sisters, Rex Adams, of Prattville, Ala., Norma Jean, Brenda Mott and Doris Riggs, all of Caruthersville, Joyce Proctor, of Paragould, Ark., Donna Starling, of Cottage Grove, Tenn., and Darlene Bell, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Renee, Dean Edwin Francis III "Trip" and Clark Adams Francis, all of Olive Branch; step-grandchildren, Christine and Sonny Clark, of Franklin, Tenn., Brian and Nicholas Day, of Caruthersville and John and Jeremy Clark, of Athens, Ga., and step-great-grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas and Jonathan Clark, all of Franklin and Cody and Maddison Day, of Caruthersville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Otis Adams and James Everett Adams and one sister, Louise Elizabeth Adams Hopper.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dr. Paul Currie officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Dean Edwin "Trip" Francis II, Clark Adams Francis, Chris Riggs, Kevin Riggs, Adam Riggs, Dennis Mott, Robert Mott and Kevin Gehrke.
