Isabella Northington, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Hayti, Mo.

Born June 2, 1914, in Walls, Miss., daughter of the late Walter and Martha Jackson Freeman, she was a cook and a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

On June 26, 1944, in West Memphis, Ark., she married Simon Northington.

Survivors include one son, Leroy Northern, Jr., and wife, Ruthie, of Caruthersville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Lamar and Naomi Northern and Countessa Mitchell, all of Caruthersville and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother; one sister and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Caruthersville, Mo. with the Rev. J.T. Spicer officiating.

Burial was in the Morgan Ridge Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were family members.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
