James McKinley "Turtle" Morgan, 56, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Aug. 5, 1950, in Corcoran, Calif., son of Charles and Anna Louise Woods, he was a U.S. veteran, having served in Vietnam, and a truck driver. He was a member of Hayti First Baptist Church.

On April 10, 1982, in Hayti, he married "Sissy" Rosa Weddington, who survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Gina Penny and husband, Joe, of Paragould, Ark., Tricia Bulleman and husband, Tim, of Deltona, Fla., and Christi Darnell and husband, Brian, of Hayti; one son, Ken Grady, of Hayti; his father and mother, Charles and Louise Morgan, of Paragould; one sister, Debbie Frost, of Paragould; two brothers, Mike Watkins and wife, Barb, of Hayti and Robert Bell and wife, Jeanine, of Hardin, Ky., and seven grandchildren, Jimmy and Jake Penny, of Paragould, Caleb and Aaron Bulleman, of Deltona, and Brian and Cody Darnell and Reed Grady, all of Hayti.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Henry and Tony Herron, Will Short, Chance Shaw, Terry "Baby T" Hall and Michael Gilmore.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
