Rodney "Big Rod" Bryant, 56, of Doniphan, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Caruthersville, Mo.
Born Jan. 26, 1951, in Bakerville, Mo., son of Mary Mayfield Bryant and the late Rudolph Bryant, he was formerly employed at Emerson Electric.
On June 21, 1968, in Kennett, he married Beverly Settlemoir, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Jeff Bryant and wife, Alyce, and Stoney Bryant and wife, Tina, all of Kennett and Rodney Bryant and wife, Blinda, of Jonesboro, Ark.; two brothers, Ronald Bryant, of Kennett and Gary Bryant, of Caruthersville, Mo. ; one sister, Sabrina Bryant, of Dothan, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Cortney Whitenton and Madison, Ashley and Tanner Bryant, all of Kennett and Lauren, Camden and Lydia Bryant, all of Jonesboro and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Christian Whitenton, of Kennett.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Gary Bryant, Donnie Folkes, D.J. Emery, Ken O'Neil, Gary Layman, Jerald Pickens, Dennis Settlemoir and Darell Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Whitenton and Bill Peterson.
