Agnes Leora Greenwell Johnson, 103, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. Mo.
Born July 23, 1903, in Canady Switch, in Pemiscot County, Mo., daughter of the late Robert Manuel and Sarah Jane Drury Greenwell, she managed the Famous Store in Caruthersville, Mo., and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
In 1923 she married Rudolph Johnson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, James; one daughter, Elizabeth and brothers and sisters, Flora Greenwell Burton, Lavonia Greenwell Latimer, Robert Sullivan Greenwell, Virgil Greenwell, Clayborn Greenwell and Abron Greenwell.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 5, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Rudolph Tochtrop officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Charles Davis, Mike Avis, Henry Hayden, James Long, Ron Stutzman and Mike Trainor.
Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
