Lela Mae Bridges, 84, of Wentzville, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Park Lane Nursing Home at Wentzville.
Born August 11, 1922, at Greenbriar, Ark., to the late Vander and Emma Battles Mabry, she was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church at Malden.
On Aug. 16, 1941, at Poplar Bluff, she married Chester Bridges who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Wendell Bridges and wife, Norma, of Rogers, Ark., Roger Bridges and wife, Linda Kay, of Wentzville, two sisters, Wilma Cavness of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Velda Melton of Imperial, Mo., five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Jean Bridges, one brother, L.V. Mabry and two sisters, Lillie McIntosh and Clela Williams.
Visitation was at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at Bradshaw Funeral Home at Malden.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., today, Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Blagg and Rev. Darren Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
