William Carmel Lacewell, 90, of Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born July 21, 1916, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of the late Daniel Lincoln and Virgie Mary Neal Lacewell, he was of the Baptist faith.
On Nov. 19, 1939, in Piggott, Ark., he married Gladys Higgs, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Clyde Dale "BeeGee" Lacewell, of Malden, Mo.; two sisters, Virginia Walker, of Holcomb, Mo., and Dorothy Longinette, of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandsons, Scott and Danny Lacewell, both of Malden; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Walker and one brother, Connie "Buster" Lacewell.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chuck Pipkins and Joe Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
