Bobbie "Bob" Lee Shipman, 69, Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at the Senath Nursing Center in Senath, Mo.

Born Sept. 18, 1937, in White Oak, Mo., son of the late Clarence Eugene and Henrietta Gary Shipman, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a truck driver, a cotton ginner and mayor of Holcomb.

On April 10, 1965, in Frisbee, Mo., he married Janie Gordon, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Kevin Shipman, of Chicago, Ill., and Rodney Gordon, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Kim Smith, of Kennett; three brothers, Connie Shipman, of Campbell, Mo., Farrell Shipman, of Qulin, Mo., and Bud Shipman, of Holcomb; five sisters, Sue Morgan and Terri Todd, both of Kennett, Mary Hoffman and Mavis Overall, both of Poplar Bluff and Carolyn Mullins, of Piggott, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Shipman.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
