Thomas Wayne Evans, 76, of Dexter, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Malden, Mo.
Born Dec. 3, 1930, in Kennett, son of the late Jewell and Eva Crawford Evans, he was employed at Bud Shell Ford, a butcher for IGA and Kroger and a food broker for Bean Patterson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Jan. 8, 1950, in Kennett, he married Wanda Huskey, who preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 1999. He later married Patricia Thornton on Sept. 8, 2002 in Dexter. She survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Gaylon Evans, of Union City, Tenn.; one daughter, Ann Owens, of Olathe, Kan.; two step-daughters, Avis Murray, of Folkston, Ga., and Naomi O'Connor, of Velm, Wash.; one sister, Selena Garner, of Dexter; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Evans.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m., to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan., 31, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Avis Murray and Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
