Ronald Eugene McCoy, 71, of St. Louis, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at the Dubuis Hospital in St. Louis.
Born April 2, 1935, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of the late Clifton Eugene and Ruth Nora London McCoy, he was a 1953 graduate of Caruthersville High School and was employed as a general contractor. He was a member of the United Church of God in St. Louis.
On March 12, 1955, in St. Louis, he married Tennie Brown, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Ronald E. McCoy, Jr. and wife, Dawn, of Oakville, Mo., William Clifton McCoy and wife, Cheryl, and Larry W. McCoy, all of St. Louis; one daughter, Sharon McCoy Zimmermann and husband, Matthew, of Lake St. Louis; six brothers, Charles, Frank and Bob McCoy, all of Caruthersville, Mike McCoy, of Springfield, Mo., and Talmadge and Wayne McCoy, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Ruth E. Beals, of Mattoon, Ill.; six grandchildren, Amy, Jessica, Alicia, Zack, Molly and Eli and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with the Rev. Vincent Symkoviak officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were family members.
