Raymond "Ray" Oldsen, 89, of Kennett, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Lutheran Home Care in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Oct. 11, 1917, in Claremont, Minn., son of the late Henry and Emelia Sansin Oldsen, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.

On March 16, 1944, he married Leila Rice, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Raymond R. Oldsen, of Campbell, Mo., and Phil Oldsen, of Kennett; two daughters, Cheri Ramsey, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Kathryn Wright, of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Mary Pasternak, of Campbell, Calif.; seven grandchildren, James Ramsey, III, Corey and Scott Wright, and Dereck, Gina Rae, Kacy and Conner Oldsen and three great-grandchildren, Christian, Sterling and Savannah Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, seven sisters and a son-in-law, Steve Wright.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sue Cubbage officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Military will serve as pallbearers.
