Elizabeth New, 93, of Clarkton, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Monticello House in Jackson, Mo.
Born Aug. 29, 1913 at Clarkton, daughter of the late G.M. and Drucilla Whitaker Blaylock, she was employed at the Gossard Clothing Manufacturing and attended the First Baptist Church of Clarkton.
On Sept. 15, 1934 in Campbell, Mo., she married Woodrow New, who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1987.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, H.N., James, Paul, and Max Blaylock.
Survivors include one son, George New, of Kennett; three daughters, Cathy Hale and husband, Daniel, of Millersville, Mo., Phyllis Lawson and husband, Cloyce, of Poplar Bluff, and Barbara Kinard and husband, Neal, of Denmark, S.C.; one sister, Marjorie Davidson, of Charleston, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel at Malden.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Clarkton, with Rev. Dale Rickman and Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
