James E. Case, 68, of Brentwood, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, Mo.
Born June 11, 1938, in Dunklin County, Mo., son of the late Aaron and Alma Eskew Case, he attended Holcomb School. He was employed as a lab technologist at Barnes Hospital Chemistry Lab and was director of laboratory at Missouri Clinical, Florrisant Medical Center and Drs. Master and Johnson Laboratory and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
On Nov. 11, 1961, in St. Louis County, Mo., he married Nancy Woomer who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Debbie Ellis; two sisters, Jo Lape and husband, Paul, of Malden, Mo., and Sue Smith and husband, Frank, of Clarkton, Mo.; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery at Xenia, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Seventh Day Adventist Church.
