Wilma Georgia Dorris, 86, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born Dec. 19, 1920, in Evansville, Ark., daughter of the late Elbridge Robert and Eula Mae Turner Dunagan, she was a cook with the Caruthersville School District and a member of the First Assembly of God.
On Dec. 1, 1942, in Muskogee, Okla., she married Hume Daniel Dorris, who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1998. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Young, of Green Bay, Wis., and Rhonda Proctor, of Nixa, Mo.; two sons, Gerald Dorris, of Atlanta, Ga., and Jeffery Dorris, of Caruthersville; two sisters, Claire Eullor, of Kansas City, Kan., and Reba Roberts, of Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Tom Dunagan, of Kansas City; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the First Assembly of God in Caruthersville with the Rev. Bob Titus officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Jon and Jeff Brunelle, Dennis King, Paul Lafferty, Howard Kirby and Dr. Doug McKillip.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
