Barbara Elkins Burson, 73, of Cardwell, Mo., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.
Born April 12, 1933, in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Milton Edgar and Geneva Frances Skelton Elkins, she was a hairdresser and owner/operator of Motel in Holcomb.
On June 14, 1959, in Cairo, Ill., she married Billy Paul "Bill" Burson, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2003. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Jackson; one brother, Ira Lee Elkins and one sister, Mary Lou Richardson.
Survivors include one son, John Jackson and wife, Paulette, of Gray, La.; two brothers, Ted Elkins, of Barnegat, N.J., and Leonard Elkins and wife, Linda, of Paragould; one sister, Shirley Birmingham, of Munford, Tenn.; one grandson, Jason Jackson, of Kennett and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elder Cemetery at Campbell.
