Von Hanners, 85, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Kennett, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born August 28, 1921, in Hornersville, Mo., son of the late Frank and Minnie Horner Hanners, he was an army veteran who served in W.W.II.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include five sons, Von Parker Hanners of Ft. Worth, Texas, Barry Anderson Hanners of Natchitoches, La., Flynn Franklin Hanners of Sherman, Ill., Bart Nolen Hanners of Lakeland, Tenn., and Brad Rue Hanners of Lakeworth, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 15, graveside at Box Elder Cemetery near Hornersville with Rev. Nathan Primm officiating.

Pallbearers will be Von Hanners, Barry Hanners, Flynn Hanners, Bart Hanners, Brad Hanners, and Terry Hanners.
