Robert Floyd Carden, 70, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Sept. 2, 1936, in Dorena, Mo., son of the late Briggham "Red" and Rachel Threlkeld Carden, he was the minister of the Church of God Prophecy.
He married Bonnie Sue Andition, of Delta, Mo., and later married Bobbie Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Taylor Carden, of Malden; one son, Steve Taylor, of Malden; five daughters, Angie Boster and Karen Bowles, both of Springfield, Ill., Teresa Stroder, of Gordonville, Mo., Diane Carden, of Delta and Rhonda Owen, of Richmond, Mo.; three brothers, Norvel Carden, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Calvin L. Carden, of Portageville, Mo., and Eugene Carden, of Union City, Tenn.; six sisters, Marie "Sissy" Arnold, of Westland, Mich., Lawanda Morgan, of Clinton, Okla., Ruth Stewart and Doris Parnell, both of Portageville, Carolyn Brown, of Jackson, Mo., and Brenda Sides, of Caruthersville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Billie Taylor and one sister, Rosemary Fields.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12, at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, at the DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Winchester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
