Carl L. Burcham, 78, of Roby, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

Born Nov. 29, 1928, in Senath, Mo., son of the late Judge C.M. and Dessie Lane Burcham, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served both in Korea and Vietnam. He was a master mason and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Fry and Trula Steinbach, both of Roby and Melissa Emerick, of Ella Bell, Ga.; one sister, Melba Gladhill, of Pinson, Tenn.; one brother, Verlin "Blue" Burcham, of Pinson; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Evans Funeral Home in Houston, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the Roby Christian Church with David Ingalls officiating.

Burial will follow in the Palace Cemetery.
