Jewell Nichols, 87, of Blytheville, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Heritage Square Nursing Center in Blytheville.

Born Sept. 27, 1919, in Blytheville, daughter of the late Walter Edward Andrew Jackson and Blanche Cavashere Brooks, she was an employee of Bush Brothers and Co.

She married Ulice Nichols, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Travis Brooks and two sisters, Opal Fisher and Mary Brooks.

Survivors include five children, Bobby Nichols, of Senath, Mo., Travis Nichols, of Nederland, Texas, Doyle Nichols, of Mountain Home, Ark., Roy Nichols, of Conway, Ark., and Jenny Salter, of Center, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Bowers officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
