Wayne Brust, 63, of Holcomb, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Holcomb.
Born December 16, 1943, to the late Jerry Lavern Brust Schniedermeyer and Louis Robert Brust. He was a member of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. Mr Brust was a retired long-haul driver and was of the Catholic faith. Brust graduated from from Afton High School at St. Louis.
On October 2, 2006, he married Joan Marie Parks Fuller, who survives. He is also survived by two children, SSG Tracy Scott Brust, of Ft. Campbell, Kty., and Miles Brust, of Sullivan, Mo.; one brother, Terrence Joseph Schniedermeyer, of St. Louis; eight step-children, Mary Lee McKay, of Bossier City, La., Dashal Finley, Jr. and Eric Finley, both of Kennett, Keith Finley, of St. Joseph, Mo., children of former wife Mary Finley Brown, as well as Cindy Busby, Dianna Turner, Jimmy Fuller and Gary Fuller, both of Kennett. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Wayne was awarded the following awards while serving our country: Sharpshooter badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal 1st Award and Combat Infantryman's Badge 1st Award.
Visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m., today, Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at McDaniel Funeral Home at Kennett.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel, with Carolyn Caraway officiating.
Pallbearers are Tracy Brust, Dashal and Eric Finley, Miles Brust, Dale Tally and Lee Trainer. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Fuller, Chris Turner and Billy Busby.
