Jeanetta Jean McFarland Davis, 66, of Huntsville, Texas entered paradise on Jan. 3, 2007. Mrs. Davis was born June 12, 1940, in Blytheville, Ark. She was a graduate of Mary Washington College and enjoyed a fabulous career in produce marketing which enabled her to be known as the Rice Lady and the National Spokeswoman for Watermelon. Although, her favorite title was Grandmother. Mrs. Davis will always be remembered as a faithful Christian, devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother, true friend and a courageous fighter. She is preceded in death by her parents Willard Bernard McFarland and Imogene Smith Mitchell. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 44 years, Rex Young Davis; daughter, Dianne Davis Evans and husband, Philip Evans; son, Douglas Allen Davis and wife, Suzanne Davis; much beloved grandchildren, Blake Davis Evans, Philip Chase Evans, Bailey Marie Davis, Tanner Rex Evans and Avery Suzanne Davis; step-father, Lt. Co., Erwin Mitchell; step-mother, Bernice McFarland; brothers, Bill McFarland, Barry McFarland, Ron Mitchell; sister, Carol Mitchell Gleason; cousin, Gail Page Chaney and many other dear family members and friends.
