Joel Jeffress

Joel Glenn Jeffress, 57, of Bernie, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at his residence.

Born Sept. 1, 1949, in Montgomery, Ala., son of Betty Allen Jeffress and the late Rex L. Jeffress, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was employed at Taylon Paper Company in Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Hollahan, of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Rex L. Jeffress, II, of Kennett; two sisters, Cheryl Wilcoxson, of Kennett and Kim Ott, of Flippin, Ark., and his mother, Betty Jeffress, of Kennett.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Bernie Cemetery with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie is in charge of arrangements.
