Elmer Dennis, 80, of Lenoir City, Tenn., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Knoxville, Tenn.
Born April 20, 1926, in Bernie, Mo., he was the son of the late Jesse and Ada McNeely Dennis.
On Nov. 4, 1943, in Steele, Mo., he married Louise Imogene Tenison, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Jerry Dennis and wife, Phyllis, of Horn Lake, Miss., and Eugene Dennis and wife, Mary Ann, of Harviell, Mo.; one daughter, Judy Harvey, of Lenoir City; special friend, Maria Gonzales; three brothers, Howard Dennis, of Steele and Haskell and Paul Dennis, both of Kennett; one sister, Lorene Peridore, of Kennett; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Patsy Weaver officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Steve, Timmy, Jeff, Billy and Jimmy Dennis and Kenny Davis.
