Hettie Loe Rogers Carmack of Kennett, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at the age of 89. She was born on February 14, 1917, in Cardwell, Mo. to Floyd and Mattie "Crawford" Rogers. Our valentine attended the Church of Christ Antioch in Cardwell, at 4th and Slicer Street in Kennett and was a devoted wife and loving mother.
Hettie married William Q. "Dock" Carmack on Oct. 14, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Q. "Dock" Carmack, who passed away on March 17, 1976, one son, Billy J. Carmack, who passed away at age five on Dec. 3, 1941; her brothers, Albert "Buddy," Ralph and Franklin; her sisters, Naomi Rogers Lancaster, Maxine Rogers Smith and Jenell Rogers Pringle; and one son-in-law, Arnold J. "Sonny" Masters.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty June Carmack Masters of Kennett; two sons, William Bryan Carmack and wife, Kay, of Brighton, Tenn., and Rodney Carmack and wife, Jamie, of Jonesboro, Ark; seven grandchildren, Karen Masters Forrest and husband, Kevin, of Deering, Mo., Derrick Masters and wife, Katie, of Paducah, Ky., Kelly Kay Carmack Bridges of Atoka, Tenn., Stacy Carmack Johnson and husband, Brent, of Atoka, Tenn., Missy Carmack Suiter and husband, Ricky, of Nashville, Tenn., and Drew and Tori Carmack, both of Jonesboro; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kimberly Forrest, Josh Cate, Luke and Charlie Masters, Jessica and Haley Johnson, Alex and Alan bridges, and Autumn and Miles Suiter.
Pallbearers were Tommy Edwards, Drew Carmack, Lucas Masters, Matt Hood, Brent Johnson, Ricky Suiter, Derrick Masters, Alex Bridges, and Kevin Forrest.
Visitation was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, with services following at 2 p.m. at the McDaniel Funeral Home at Kennett, with James Powell officiating. Internment will be at the Cardwell Cemetery.
