Born May 9, 1915, in Caruth, Mo., son of the late Harrison L. and Maude Chailland Cannon, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.
On Nov. 15, 1935, he married Hettie Jones, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Glenn Edwin and Tony Cannon, both of Kennett; two daughters, Judy Cannon Seiger, of San Antonio, Texas and Peggy Cannon Ross, of Flower Mound, Texas; one brother, H.C. Cannon, of Owensboro, Ky.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Cannon and one sister Betha Hamlin.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Jim Pemberton officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Verlon Phelps, Frankie Williams, John H. Stephens, Bruce Felker, Gene Felker and Joe Chandler.
Honorary pallbearers were Butch Chailland, John David Raines, Ronnie Morgan, Tom Chandler, Joe Pelts, Tommy Striegel, Rayburn Ross, Hubert Aldrich, Mark Pelts and Bill Anderson.
