Dorothy Jean Notgrass, 76, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Nov. 17, 1930, in Potosi, Mo., daughter of the late Edward and Rosa White Bay, she was employed at Boeving Brothers Gin, Hayti Gin Company, Ray J. Campbell's Tax Service and was owner/operater of Dorothy's Tax Service.
On July 17, 1958, in Hayti, Mo., she married Morris Notgrass, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1996. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Norman and Howard Bay and Edward Bay, Jr.; one sister, Lillian Allen and a daughter-in-law, Nita Kelsey.
Survivors include five children, Kimball Kelsey and wife, Judy, of Paris, Tenn., Lynn Kelsey and wife, Ginger, of Caruthersville, Mo., Peggy Notgrass, of Redfield, Ark., John Notgrass and wife, Tracy, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Danny Notgrass, of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters, Edith Charboneau and husband, Aaron, of Sullivan, Mo., and Lois Reese, of Farmington, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with the Rev., Keith Flowers officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Russell Gilmore, Damon Johnson, Noel Dudley, Tony Kelsey, Stuart Treece and Zach Stevens.
John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
