Ruth McCormick, 75, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born Oct. 14, 1931, in Cotton Plant, Mo., daughter of the late Hubert Jackson and Nell Neighbors Pope, she was employed at Kennett National Bank.
On March 18, 1948, she married Alfred Junior McCormick, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Russell Pope and two sisters, Nadean Waggy and Mildred Wicker.
Survivors include one son, Michael McCormick, of Kennett; one daughter, Pat Moore and husband, Dennis, of Kennett; one brother, Jack Pope, of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Doris Nye, of North Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Teri Stone, Keri Farmer, Ashley, Nicholas and Nathan McCormick, Ryan, Brandon and Derrek Moore and Josh Gibson and seven great-grandchildren, Kylie and Nickolas Stone, Skygene Nicole Blankenship, Keagan Farmer, Alyssa and Cheyenne Gibson and Aiden Moore.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Nick and Nathan McCormick, Josh Gibson, Brandon and Ryan Moore and Mike Parrent.
Honorary pallbearers are Barbara Collins, Reggie Cunningham, Barbara Anderson, Joe Stillman, David Dalton, Mary Ellen Akers, Vonda Stacy, Pat Paddock, Joan Lewellyng, Mary Emma Nunley, Janice Noah, Carol Morgan, Larry Pritchard and Earline Hovis.
