Delphia Barnett, 81, of Deering, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.
Born Dec. 8, 1924, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late Walter and Zebie Ward Shuberte, she attended the Methodist Church in Deering.
Survivors include five children, Charles Barnett, of Hayti, Jim Barnett, of Deering, Buford Barnett, of Finley, Tenn., Eugene Barnett, of Bismarck, N.D., and Phylis Barnett, of Kennett; one brother, Dutch Shubert, of Hayti; one sister, Alice Sprous, of Lilbourn, Mo., and one granddaughter, Buffy Barnett, of Lilbourn.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Sue Goss, Bessie Shull, Linda Bowman, Elizabeth Young and Rosie Via and two brothers, James Harley and Charles Ward Shuberte.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Glen Cannon, John A. Thompson, Gary Deaton, Terry McCloud and Butch and Larry Patterson.
