Marjorie Lou Stewart, 82, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at the Doctors Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Born April 14, 1924, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Clyde E. and Clara Montgomery Treece, she attended Caruthersville Schools and was employed with the Division of Family Services in Caruthersville. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church.
On June 11, 1946, in Blytheville, Ark., she married James Thomas Stewart, who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2006.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha J. Nelson and husband, Danny, of Ozark, Mo.; one son, Thomas D. Stewart and wife, Frankie, of Caruthersville; three grandchildren, Anna Beth Fraser, of Nixa, Mo., Tiffany Stewart Dennis, of Tucson, Ariz., and Tracey Stewart, of Caruthersville and two great-grandchildren, Tedd Christian and Darby Ann Fraser, both of Nixa.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5th at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Tom Tidwell, Steve Kuykendall, Bobby and James Mott, Vaughn Treece and Larry Thrasher.
