Jim Smith, 62, of Holcomb, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at National Health Care at Kennett, Mo.

Born May 26, 1944, at Peach Orchard, Mo., he was the son of the late Weldon "Buster" Smith and Lillian Dickens Smith, who survives.

On Aug. 6, 1971, he married Mary Beth Trinkler at Malden, Mo., who survives.

Other survivors include one son, James "Bubba" Smith, of Holcomb; one daughter, Becky Durham and husband, David, of Sikeston, Mo.; one sister, Sue Davis, of Paragould, Ark.; and one granddaughter, Blair Durham, of Sikeston.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at the McDaniel Funeral Home at Kennett.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at the McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. Ray Hartbarger officiating.

Burial followed at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers included Scott Lamar, Jason Lamar, Lance Lamar, Michael McCain, Jason Durham, and Kenny Davis.
