Vera Frances Rolens, 95, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born Nov. 28, 1911 in Kennett, daughter of the late William and Dossie Waddell Marine, she was a member of the Sumach Methodist Church.

On July 26, 1930, she married Howard "Bud" Rolens, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1982. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Holder; one brother, Lynn Marine and one sister, Mildred Evans.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Rolens, of Kennett; one daughter, Mavis "Teeny" House and husband, Cecil, of Caruthersville, Mo.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ray Hartbarger officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Kevin Evans, Dan Crawford, Kevin Nash, Keith Nash, Tim Bond and Dale Lyle.
