Ruth Driskill, 93, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at the Caruthersville Nursing Center.

Born June 14, 1913, in Mansfield, Tenn., daughter of the late James M. and Era Forrest Huffman, she was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville.

On April 11, 1930, in Yarbro, Ark., she married Bill Driskill.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonita Pierce, of Caruthersville, Melba Ridgeway, of Houston, Mo., and Billie Kay Cain, of Bragg City, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James and Ralph Driskill; two brothers, J.Y. and Amos Huffman and two sisters, Martha Funderburk and Mary Zahner.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Tommy Stewart, Eric Carter, Danny Pierce, Michael Driskill, Chuck Cain and Mark Ridgeway.
