David Bruce Orick, 60, of Clarkton, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Bethalto, Ill.

Born Nov. 5, 1946, in Gideon, Mo., son of Thelma Estelle Swann Orick and the late Glen Harrison Orick, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, David Garron, of Cabot, Ark.; his mother, Thelma Orick, of Malden, Mo.; two sisters, Glenda Emmons, of Bethalto and Joan Sissom, of Jefferson City, Mo., and four grandchildren, Charles, Andren, Emily and Joshua Garron, all of Cabot.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Orick.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial was in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
