Wink Rauls, 92, of Jonesboro, Ark., formerly of Leachville, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Sept. 11, 1914, in Leachville, son of the late Joseph and Montie Lee Brannum Rauls, he was a 1934 graduate of Hornersville High School, a U.S. Army veteran, having served at the Battle of the Bulge and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a farmer and a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Dowdy Rauls, of Jonesboro; three sons, Richard Rauls and wife, Earlene, of Paragould, Ark., Dr. Steve Rauls and wife, Kristie, of Jonesboro and Stan Rauls and wife, Sarah, of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Jane Washington, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Doug Rauls, of Austin, Texas, Jennifer Grigsby, of Bono, Ark., Allison Rauls, of Arlington, Va., Meredith Lee Rauls, of Washington, D.C., and Emily Rauls, of Caraway, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Donovan Hall and Landon Rauls and two step-grandchildren, Jake and Lindsey Henderson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jeff, Norman and Henry Rauls and one sister, Ruth Rauls.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Kenneth Winningham officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville, Mo.
