Gary Turner, Sr.

Gary Don Turner, Sr., 65, of Kennett, a veteran of the U.S. Army, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Kennett.

Born Aug. 25, 1941, to the late Floyd and Dorothy Turner of Senath, Mo.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Donna Alsup, of Kennett; one son, Gary Don Turner, Jr., of Holcomb, Mo.; two daughters, Teresa Teal, of Hayti, Mo., and Tina Chappell, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one step-son, Lee Alsup, of Dexter, Mo.; one step-daughter, Lynda Mitchell, of Kennett; one brother, Rick Turner, of Kennett; two sisters, Geraldine Hufford, of Senath and Linda Ellis, of Blytheville, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert "Bobby" Loys Turner; two sisters; two brothers; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

At his request he will be cremated with no visitation or memorial services.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Disabled Veterans or the American Heart Association.
