Alpha Omega Counts, 85, of Kennett, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Kennett.

Born April 29, 1921, in Kennett, daughter of the late Clarence Calvin and Maude O'Brian Hall, she was a hospital cook.

On Oct. 19, 1935, she married Haskell Counts, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, K. "Bud" Hall and one sister, Louise Wheeler.

Survivors include five sons, J.C., Basil D., L.G., Gerald and Benny Counts, all of Kennett; three daughters, Carolyn Ellison, Margie Duke and Faye Ray, all of Kennett; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Donald, Arnold, Keith, Jason and Jonathan Duke and Jeff Carter.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael and Jeremy Duke.
