Olive M. Garren, 88, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at the Golden Living Care Center in Malden.
Born Jan. 30, 1918, in Brownsville, Tenn., daughter of the late Abner and Olive Branch Martin, she was a music teacher and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Malden.
On May 1, 1976, in Asheville, N.C., she married Fulton Garren, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include one son, Joe Ryan and wife, Jane, of Campbell, Mo.; three grandsons, Will Ryan, of Shelbyville, Tenn., Sam Ryan, of Malden and Alex Ryan, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one granddaughter, Laura Ryan, of Cape Girardeau and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Malden with the Rev. Bob Phillips officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Malden School choir, Malden Public Library or the First Presbyterian Organ Fund.
