Robert Victor Atchison, 77, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Dec. 6, 1928, in Lenox, Tenn., son of the late John Gilbert and Myrtle Louise Ashworth Atchison, he was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

On Sept. 1, 1945, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Virginia Olivia Scott, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Danny Atchison, of Malden, Mo., and Jimmy Atchison, of Rives, Mo.; two daughters, Janet Hawkins, of Conway, Ark., and Phyllis Dixon, of Blackshear, Ga.; two brothers, Walter Atchison, of Jackson, Mo., and David Atchison, of Bernie, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Robyn Daniels, Matthew Vuletich, Jared Shaneyfelt, Brooke Griffin, Lindsay Atchison and Trever Hawkins and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, Nov. 21m at the Powell Funeral Home in Stele, Mo., with the Rev. Clifton Trentham officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
