William Earl Fisher, 70, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Nov. 6, at Berwyn, Ill.

Born May 17, 1936, in Phil Cambell, Ala., he was the son of William Evitt and Bracie C. Flippo Fisher.

On July 8, 1985 he married Linda Hays, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Gregory Hays and wife, Carolyn, of Boiling Brooks, Ill.; one sister, Clara E. Fisher, of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Charles E. Fisher, of St. Louis; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexis Hays of Boiling Brooks, Ill.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Jim Pilcher officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Jerry Hays, Gary Allen, Brian Downey, Brian Gunnels, Tommy Allen and Tommy Hutcheson.
