Mattie Bell Ingram Vandiver, daughter of the late Spence Mitchell Ingram and Elizabeth Greer Ingram was born Sept. 16, 1924, in Blytheville, Ark., and came into the presence of her lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 13, 2006, at the age of 82 years.
Survivors include two sons, Danny F. Vandiver and wife, Joyce, of Arnold, Mo., and Johnny O. Vandiver, of Kennett; one daughter, Rose Marie Pruitt and husband, Ken, of Arnold; four grandchildren, Mark Vandiver and wife, Kim, and John Vandiver and wife, Lisa, all of Arnold, Jason Vandiver, of Gideon, Mo., and Ken Pruitt, of Plymouth, Minn., and three great-grandchildren, Zacharey, Austin and Kaycee Vandiver. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Vandiver, police judge in Hornersville. She married him on July 28, 1945, in Paragould, Ark. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Spencer "Bo" Ingram and wife, Louise, of Coffeeville, Miss.; one sister, Mary Covington, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and two nephews, Starlin Ingram, of Desota, Mo., and Jimmy Ingram, of Fort Valley, Ga.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Thursday, Nov. 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Hornersville, Mo., with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.
Pallbearers were Jackie Taylor, Terry Keating, Bud Thomas, Jerry Brown, Jimmy Lee and David Powell.
Love gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hornersville, Mo.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
