Gerald Patton, 67, of Kennett, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Jan. 22, 1939, in Kennett, he was the son of the late Marvin Elzie and Mattie Fields Patton.
On Feb. 7, 1957, he married Julie Benson, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Michael Wayne Patton of Kennett; three daughters, Julie Jackson, Cindy Smith and Sherry Nolen, all of Kennett; four brothers, Jimmy Patton, of St. Louis, Mo., Kenneth Patton, of Kennett, Elzie Patton, of Fresno, Calif., and Benny Patton, of Wappapello, Mo.; three sisters, Eyvonne Adams, of Kennett, Shirley McRee, of Granite City, Ill., and Linda Moore, of Wappapello; five grandchildren, Leah Ross, Chrissie Abbott, Ashley Swain and Amber and Trevor Patton and six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Rachel Ross, Brandon and Layla Swindle, Alexis Moore and Karley Patton.
He was preceded in death by one son, Tony Dale Patton; three brothers, Lloyd, Jackie and Lee Edward Patton; one sister, Iyvonne Evans and one great-grandson, Rylan Patton.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
