Nelson Carter

Nelson "Nub" Carter, 82, passed away November 3, 2006, in his home in Olive Branch, Miss., from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Mr. Carter was born in Leachville, Ark. in 1924. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in Korea. He spent 55 years in the automobile business starting at age 16 in Kennett, Mo., retiring at age 70 in Memphis, Tenn. Nub is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glen Rae Carter; brother, Elvis "Luke" Carter, of Kennett, Mo.; half-sister, Martha Carter Schnabel of Michigan; three sons, Keith, Terry "Dunk", Barry; four grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Stephen, Kristen; and great granddaughter, Madison.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services, for the family, will be provided by McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be sent to A&E Hospice of Olive Branch or First Baptist Church Building Fund of Kennett, Mo.
