Dr. Floyd Jones, Jr., 84, of Kennett, formerly of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Beverly Health Care in Malden.

Born Jan. 26, 1922, in Paragould, Ark., son of the late Floyd and Maude Andrea Jones, he was a U.S. Army/Air Force veteran and a dentist.

On July 6, 1970, in Holly Springs, Miss., he married Regina Lake, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Floyd "Mike" Jones III, of Kentucky, Marcel M. Jones, of Wappapello, Mo., Ronald F. Jones and wife, Susan, of North Pole, Alaska and two grandchildren, Jeremy Jones, of Greenville, Mo., and Abigail Regina Jones, of North Pole.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest Jones and one sister, Freda Jones.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Nov. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with James Powell officiating.

Burial was in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
