Richard Allen Prost, Sr., 65, of Manchester, Mo., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at his residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late L.A. and Tressie Bridgwood Wilks Prost, he attended Caruthersville School and was employed by Safeco Insurance. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Bohn, of Sunset Hills, Mo.; one son, Richard Allen Prost, Jr., of Manchester; two sisters, Jo Ann Prost, of Helena, Mont., and Margaret Bullington, of Caruthersville; two brothers, Donald Prost, of Jefferson City, Mo., and William Prost, of Cape Girardeau and three grandchildren, Joseph Gallman, of Chicago, Ill., Kathleen Gallman, of Murray, Ky., and Madeline Bohn, of Sunset Hills, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, at the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville with Father Randy Tochtrop officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Dustin and Brenton Bullington, Charles and Andrew Prost and Lawrence and James Dorroh.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
