Mary Lou Richardson, 71, of Cardwell, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at her residence.
Born Jan. 25, 1935, in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Milton "Ed" and Geneva Skelton Elkins, she was a member of the Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ in Paragould, Ark., and was employed at Southland School as the bookkeeper for 34 years until her retirement in 2000.
Mary Lou loved her family and friends more than anything, but she also enjoyed traveling, sewing, baking, playing piano, the stock market, talking on the computer, watching her grandchildren play ball, and attending the Roundup in Brookland, Ark. on Saturday nights.
On June 14, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Lewis "Tink" Richardson, who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Tink Richardson, of Cardwell; one son, Rick Richardson and wife, Glenda, of Kennett; two daughters, Vicki Love and husband, Larry, of Rogers, Ark., and Beverly Floyd and husband, Keith, of Mesquite, Texas; two brothers, Leonard Elkins, of Paragould and Ted Elkins, of Barnegat, New Jersey; two sisters, Barbara Burson, of Cardwell and Shirley Brimingham, of Munford, Tenn., and eight grandchildren, Ryan Love, Erica Richardson, Grant Richardson, Sloan Richardson, Kacey Moody, Lindsey, Kaylee and Tyler Floyd.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ira Elkins.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, Mo., with Larry McFadden and Raymond Lasley officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Denny Haddock, Dennis Prince, Gary Burnside, Grant and Sloan Richardson, Ryan Love and Tyler Floyd.
