Alta Osborn Strickland, 92, of Qulin, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born Oct. 20, 1913, in Qulin, daughter of the late Ira and Dillie Hillis Osborn, she was a homemaker and a charter member of the Osborn General Baptist Church.

She married Ben Franklin Brent, who preceded her in death on March 23, 1962. On Feb. 22, 1967, in Qulin, she married Clinton Strickland who preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1986. She was also preceded in one brother, Herschel Osborn and one grandson, Gary Lott.

Survivors include one daughter, Anna Lott, of Fairdealing, Mo.; one son, James Brent, of Swartz Creek, Mich.; four grandchildren, Rhonda Layman, of Davison, Mich., Daniel Brent, of Royal Oak, Mich., Marie Brent, of Tampa, Fla., and Dawn Lott, of Fairdealing; two great-grandchildren, Michael Lott, of Flushing, Mich., and Heather Lott, of Flint, Mich. and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, Oct. 6, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Irvin Carr officiating.

Burial will follow at Qulin.
